Distinguished Alumni Award
The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes outstanding achievement and/or leadership demonstrated by the recipients in their chosen fields of interest, or to the University of South Alabama, over an extended period of time. These achievements may include personal or professional recognition and/or accomplishments. Recognition not determined by service rendered to the University of South Alabama or to the National Alumni Association, but these may be included in consideration.
V. Gordon Moulton Distinguished Service Award
The V. Gordon Moulton Distinguished Service Award recognizes exceptional or continuing service to the University of South Alabama and/or the Alumni Association. This award is designed to publicly acknowledge those individuals or organizations who have volunteered significant amounts of time, talents and resources to the University or the Association over an extended period of time. This award is named in honor of the second president of the University of South Alabama, V. Gordon Moulton, in recognition of his more than 45 years of service to the University. Nominees do not have to be University of South Alabama alumni.
Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes exceptional or continuing service to the University of South Alabama, community, state, nation or international country. This award is designed to acknowledge those alumni who have made exemplary contributions including public service, philanthropy, volunteerism, time or talents benefiting the community, state, nation and/or an international country. Nominees must be University of South Alabama alumni.
This year's Distinguished Alumni and Service Award gala will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017, 6:00p.m. at the Mitchell Center, on USA's campus.
